How-to setup your account and make your first investment

This onboarding guide will walk you through creating an account, completing your onboarding and making your first investment.

  • Step 1 - Accept your GXE email invitation and create your account

  • Step 2 - Complete your GXE account

  • Step 3 - Start investing

⚠️Note: If you are investing via a trust and/or company, then you must be a controlling party of the entity or trustee (usually this is a director or as an individual trustee). If you are an employee, advisor or other related party then please contact support@gxe.com to discuss your account options.


Step 1: Accept your GXE email invitation and create your account

  1. Find Email Invitation - You should have received an email from support@m.gxe.com inviting you to join GXE. Click the blue text ‘by clicking here’. This will take you to the GXE website where you’ll be asked to create an account.

  2. Register Account - Click the blue 'Register Account' button if this is the first time you are using GXE and complete the form.

  3. Add Phone Number - Add your mobile phone number and select your notification preferences.

    1. Part 1: Enter your phone number

    2. Part 2: Select your notification preferences

    3. Part 3: Request a verification code

    4. Part 4: Enter the verification code GXE sent via sms to your phone

    5. Part 5: Click the blue button "Save Changes"

  4. Accept Space Invitation - Click the blue button 'View Invitation' or 'Accept Invite' (If you can't find the invitation then you can also view it here)

    What's a space? It's an exclusive area on GXE that your investment manager can publish investment offers to investors.



Step 2: Complete your GXE account

  • On a desktop computer - In the top right-hand corner, click either:

    1. "Complete Activation Steps" text; or

    2. The gear icon; or

    3. Your name and then "Account details"

  • On mobile phone - In the top right-hand corner, select either:

    1. The yellow "Activate" button; or

    2. The three lines menu and then "Account details"

  1. Complete activation - In your Account Details page, under the ‘Activation’ heading, complete the following steps:

  • Part 1: Personal identity verification

  • Part 2: Add investment entities

  • Part 3: Wholesale investor status

  • Part 4: Review and sign investment documents

Part 1: Personal identity verification

  1. You'll need a passport or Australian driver licence

  2. Click the link below the ‘Personal identity verification' subheading

  3. Now, follow the steps

Part 2: Add investment entities

  1. Open your Activation steps again here

  2. Click the link below the 'Add an investment entity' subheading or open this link

  3. Select the investment entity type you'd like to add first on GXE.

    1. You can invest via:

      1. Your personal name

      2. Trust

      3. SMSF; and/or

      4. Company

    2. You can have more than one investment entity added to your account

  4. Now follow the steps to setup your chosen investment entities. At anytime you can save your progress or contact support by clicking the buttons in the top right-hand corner.

Part 3: Wholesale investor status

  1. Each investment entity must be verified as a wholesale client in order to invest on the platform.

  2. Open your Activation steps again here

  3. Click the link below the 'Wholesale investor status' subheading

Part 4: Review and sign investment documents

  1. Open your Activation steps again here

  2. Click the link below the 'Review and sign investment documents' subheading

  3. Now click both the blue buttons "Send me this document" for the two contracts "Nominee Deed" and the "Investment Management Agreement"

  4. After requesting the agreements, you'll almost immediately receive two emails from noreply@mail.hellosign.com requesting you to sign documents.

    Does your investment entity has two signatories? If you have a co-signatory then they'll receive two email signature requests from noreply@mail.hellosign.com only after you as the primary signatory has signed.

To Note:

  • These activation steps must be completed prior to investing as they are regulatory requirements.


Step 3: Start investing

  1. Open your Spaces - Now that you have setup your account, you can now invest if you wish. Click "Spaces" in the top-left hand corner or click this link - https://portal.gxe.com/v/spaces

  2. Then select the relevant Space that you’d like to view.

  3. Now, select the deal that you'd like to review - If only one deal is available to you then this won't be available to you, instead you'll go straight to the opportunity.

  4. Review the investment opportunity – Navigate the tabs across the top to review all the information of the deal.

  5. Invest – If you are happy with the investment opportunity, then select the ‘Investment’ tab. Review the terms of the transaction.

  6. Entity – Under the 'Investing entity' subheading, choose the entity you'd like to invest with.

  7. Amount – Then under the 'Amount to invest' subheading, enter the amount you'd like to commit.

  8. Commit - Once you are happy then click the blue 'Make investment' button on the bottom-right of the page.

  9. You have finished!!

    Settlement of your investment will occur after the deal closes. You will be contacted further as the deal progresses and closes.
