Use session search to find what is already running, or what already ran, before you create anything new. This article covers finding sessions in the Virtual Emergency Operations Centre (VEOC) and browsing maps in the Common Operating Picture (COP+). Coming back after months away? Start here.
Before you start
You need a credentialed account with access to VEOC or COP+. Sign in to H2CommandCentre first.
Search sessions in VEOC
From the dashboard, click VEOC.
Type a keyword in the Search field, or sort and filter the list by Session Name, date initiated, last activity, who initiated it, or Session Type.
To include finished sessions, check Show closed sessions.
Click Reset to clear your filters and return to the default view.
Found it? Click Join Session to go straight to its dashboard.
What the session types mean
Every session carries a type: Test, Training, Exercise, Emergency, or Confidential. The type changes nothing about how the software behaves. It is a visual designation so you can tell at a glance what a session is for.
Browse a map in COP+ without a session
COP+ lets you look at a map without joining or creating anything. Good for orientation, not for response work.
From the dashboard, click COP+.
Click Browse.
Pick a map from the drop-down list and click Browse. The map opens.
To see active COP+ sessions instead, click Join Session and the Active Sessions list appears. See Join a session from an invite for every way in.
