Verify your application access

Click through each H2CommandCentre application tile once to confirm your account opens everything it should.

Written by Phil Wheaton

After your first sign-in, spend five minutes confirming each application opens for you. Finding a permissions gap now beats finding it during an emergency. This checklist is for every new user.

Before you start

Sign in to H2CommandCentre. Your dashboard shows a tile for each application your account can open. Missing tiles are normal; you only get what your role needs. See Understand roles and permissions.

The checklist

For each tile you have, click it, then click each of its main buttons to confirm they open.

  1. Click Contact Manager. Check its five sections open: Contacts, Contact Lists, Import Contacts, Manage Business Units, and User Roles. See What Contact Manager does.

  2. Click Notify. Check its three sections open. See What Notify does.

  3. Click VEOC (Virtual Emergency Operations Centre). Confirm the session screen loads. See What VEOC does.

  4. Click COP+ (Common Operating Picture). Check its four buttons open: Browse, Join Session, Create Session, and Callout Manager. See What COP+ does.

  5. Click E-ERP (Electronic Emergency Response Plans). If H2Safety manages existing plans for your company, you see those files. See What E-ERP does.

  6. Click GRP – Control Points. If H2Safety has input control points for your company, they appear here.

If something will not open

  1. Retrace the basics: browser up to date, H2Safety URLs not blocked. See Check your system requirements.

  2. Ask your company System Administrator to check your access. Application access is assigned per user, per application.

  3. If your administrator cannot resolve it, they contact H2Safety. You can also submit a support request from the portal.

Once every tile checks out, you are ready to work. Start with Browse and search sessions to see what is already running.
