Check in to an incident location

Check in to an incident location from the Incident Action Plan so the session records where you are, and check out when you leave.

Check in to an incident location

Check-in records where you are working during the response. Pick your location, check in, and the Virtual Emergency Operations Centre (VEOC) session logs it against your name; check out when you leave. Accountability for people on the ground, without a radio call.

Before you start

Requires an IAP licence. You need to be in an active session. Check-in lives in the Incident Action Plan features alongside objectives and operational periods.

Check in

  1. Open the Check In option.

  2. Select your location from the dropdown, or enter the desired location.

  3. Confirm. The system updates to show you checked in at the specified location.

Check out

Click the checkout button on the far right to check out of the incident location. Do it when you leave, not at the end of your day; the record is only useful if it is current.

Where check-ins show up

Check-in information appears in the session's Attendance Report beside each user's status and activity, so the EOC can account for everyone at a glance. See View session and attendance reports.
