For Auto-renewable Subscriptions

Auto-renewing subscriptions use Apple's "Subscription Sharing." For this to work, the person who purchased the subscription needs to enable two settings.

On the Purchaser's iPhone

  1. Enable Global Subscription Sharing:

    • Go to your iPhone's Settings app.

    • Tap on your name at the top: [Your Name].

    • Tap on Subscriptions.

    • At the top of the screen, make sure the "Share with Family" toggle is turned ON.

  2. Enable Sharing for Habitify Specifically:

    • On the same Subscriptions screen, tap on your Habitify subscription from the list.

    • Ensure the "Share with Family" toggle on this screen is also turned ON.

On the Family Member's iPhone

Once the steps above are complete, your family member can open Habitify. If they don't see Premium access automatically, they should:

  1. Go to Habitify's Settings tab.

  2. Tap "Upgrade to Premium".

  3. Tap the "Restore Purchases" button at the bottom of the screen.

For Lifetime Purchase

The one-time Lifetime purchase uses a different Apple system called "Purchase Sharing." For this to work, a few conditions must be met on everyone's devices.

Please check the following settings:

For the Family Organizer

  • Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Family Sharing.

  • Tap on Purchase Sharing and ensure itโ€™s turned ON.

For the Person who bought lifetime:

  • In the same Purchase Sharing screen, make sure "Share Purchases with Family" is enabled.

For the Family Member want to get shared:

  • They must also have "Share Purchases with Family" enabled in their own Family Sharing settings.

After confirming all the settings above are correct, to activate their lifetime access on Habitify account, the family member can

  • Open Habitify and access Settings tab

  • Tap on "Payment and Billing".

  • Tap "Restore Purchases".

Important Notes

  • Apple Devices Only: Apple's Family Sharing only works between Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). It is not possible to share a subscription purchased on an iOS device with a family member who is using an Android device.

  • "Restore Purchases" is Key: If a family member doesn't see Premium access, the first step is always to use the "Restore Purchases" button. This prompts the app to check with Apple's servers for any shared licenses.

  • Apple Manages the System: Since Family Sharing is an Apple service, some setup and troubleshooting must be handled through Apple's system. For any issues with your Family Group, please refer to Apple's official support channels.
