What are “Streak” notifications?

Streak notifications are Habitify messages that encourage you to keep your habit streak going. They commonly look like:

  • “You’re on a X‑day streak! Keep it going today!”

  • “You’re at X days — let’s keep that streak going today!”

When do streak notifications happen?

Streak notifications are typically sent about 30 minutes after a habit’s reminder time if the habit is still incomplete.

How to turn it off only?

At the moment, Habitify does not provide a separate toggle to disable/enable streak notifications independently.

How to stop streak notifications

You have two reliable options:

  1. Turn off reminders for the habit
Since streak notifications are tied to the habit reminder schedule, disabling the reminder prevents the follow‑up streak notification for that habit.

  2. Turn off Habitify notifications at the system level

    • iPhone/iPad: Settings → Notifications → Habitify → turn off Allow Notifications

    • Mac: System Settings → Notifications → Habitify → turn off Allow Notifications

If you see duplicate streak notifications (macOS)

Sometimes macOS can show two notification senders for Habitify in System Settings → Notifications, which may lead to duplicate notifications.

Try:

  1. Quit Habitify (Cmd + Q).

  2. macOS: System Settings → Notifications → Habitify → turn OFF notifications.

  3. Restart your Mac.

  4. If duplicates persist: delete Habitify and reinstall it from the Mac App Store.

Tip: Some users can also right‑click Habitify in macOS Notification Center and choose Reset notifications to clear duplicate entries.
