The three types of widgets are:
Widgets for a single good habit
Widgets for a single bad habit
Widgets for a good habit list
Widgets for a single habit
The widgets to view the progress on a habit are available in 2 sizes, 2x2 and 2x4, and for both bad and good habits.
The 2x2 widget will show the current progress of the current day with the current streak you have on the habit.
The 4x2 widget showcases the progress of a habit within the last 7 days, along with other relevant information, such as the current progress of the day and the current streak.
Tapping on any of the widgets will take you to the Single Progress view of the habit.
Please note that once you access the single progress view by tapping on the widget and completing your actions, it is advisable to close the app or return to the Journal. This will prevent the issue of duplicating access to the progress view when opening it multiple times a day via the widget.
Widgets for a habit list
The habit list widget is available in sizes 2x2, 2x4, and 2x6. It shows a list of good habits based on the order you set manually from the Journal Tab.
The 2x2 widgets show the first 2 habits in the list.
The 2x4 widgets show the first 4 habits in the list.
The 2x6 widgets show the first 10 habits in the list.
Habits will disappear from the widgets once checked in as completed, skipped, or failed. You can see the progress of incomplete habits based on the fulfillment color in each habit bar.
For the Habit List widget, you can choose an area to show on the widgets. Tapping on a specific habit will take you to its Single Progress view for check-in. Taping on the widgets but not on a habit will lead you to either the All Habit list or an area in the Journal view.
Check-in on widgets
Along with the release of iOS 17, we added the check-in buttons on the widgets. From now on, you can track and log your habit progress directly from your home screen.
