In September 2021, we released a new layout of the Journal view with the habit icons and a more colorful view.

But...

The new Journal layout is missing the motivation - that is the Streak Flame of the current streak of each habit.

We can see the loss of motivation when receiving the feedback of our users on the new Journal view.

It makes us think hard to find the best way to bring the Streaks back to the Journal and still keep a fresh view.

And we can do it with Habitify 12.2, and also bring you more.

Here are all the new things in Habitify 12.2.

For iOS devices

  • Show the current streak of your habit

Under your habit icon is there a number. It’s your current streak on the habit.

  • Keep habit color even when it is marked with a status

Before, all habits are colored grey once they are marked with a status (completed, skipped, or failed). In this update, we will keep the habit color, and show the habit name and goal in strikethrough texts.

  • Quick jump button to Today Journal

It’s designed behind the drag-menu button. When the current date is out of your Journal view, it will show the button for you to tap on and come back to today.

  • More habit icons for you to choose

Our Developers have improved the icon collection. You can find new icons at the end of the icon list.

  • More units for “Create your own” habits

It no longer limits the unit options for “Create your own” habits. It’s no longer just “mins” or “times”. We now support more units of different types.

For web app

The web app will also receive the updates as the phone app does. It includes the update of the current streak on the Journal view, how habits are shown based on their status, and also more habits added.

In addition, for the intuitive use, in this new update, we also support editing the habit icon directly by a direct click on it. Now you don’t need to go to the edit screen to change the icon.

For Android devices

You’re tired of the current boring widgets?

In this update, we dress up the widget with a new design. We also improve the widget's functions for better performance.

What's new in the widget, in detail:

  • Size 1x1 for Single habit widget

  • Habit icon & color is added

  • Smart buttons are added for direct check-in from the widget

  • Fix bugs, improve performance

Now you can freely adjust to make the widget fit your phone aesthetic, and always keep an eye on your habit. View more details in our articles Android Widgets.
