Sometimes, you may want to change the unit of your goal to better reflect your current needs or preferences. Habitify allows you to do this easily, but there’s an important rule to keep in mind: you can only change the unit of your goal if the units are of the same type.

Habitify supports tracking various units with different types. For example:

  • Time-Based Units: Minutes, hours

  • Quantity-Based Units: Reps, items, pages

  • Distance-Based Units: Meters, kilometers, miles

There may be times when you want to switch the unit of your goal—perhaps you’ve realized that tracking your running distance in miles instead of kilometers better suits your needs. Habitify allows you to make these changes, but only when the units are of the same type.

The restriction that units must be of the same type is in place to ensure that your progress tracking remains accurate and meaningful. Switching from hours to minutes, for example, is straightforward because they are both time-based units. However, switching from hours to pages would not make sense and could disrupt your habit tracking.

In case you want to switch the unit to another one in a different type, we recommend you to create a new habit.
