Health Connect is an app for storing and sharing health data from multiple apps and devices on the user's mobile device. That data includes Google Fit.
Based on the permissions you choose, apps send data to Health Connect, which then stores data on your device and makes it available to other applications. This gives each connected app a better grasp of your health and wellness needs at any given time.
