Welcome to this overview of the Church Tab found on the mobile app! This guide will show you how to use the Church Tab's features. The three main features of the Community Tab are: Prayer Requests, Small Groups, and Community Challenges.

You can find the Church Tab, at the bottom of your screen, immediately to the left of the Me tab.

There are two types of communities you can join using the Church Tab in the Hallow app:

You will be able to toggle between these communities by tapping the hamburger menu found in the upper left-hand corner of the screen

If your church has a partnership with Hallow, you will have the option to connect with that community in the Church Tab of the mobile app and share your Hallow experience with other parishioners.

To ensure the best experience for our parish partners, church tab now require pastoral approval through a formal partnership with Hallow. If your parish has not yet partnered with Hallow, the church will appear as “Waitlisted” in the app until the partnership is established, and the Church tab will remain inactive.

When you join your church in the Hallow app, you’ll be welcomed into your parish community!

After joining, you’ll see a welcome message from your parish admin at the top of your Church tab. This message helps introduce you to your parish’s space within Hallow.

You’ll then be prompted to create an introduction post to help your community get to know you better or, if you prefer, you can simply tap Not Now to skip this step. If you choose to create an introduction post, you’ll be guided through a few short prompts, such as:

Your post will appear in the Your Community carousel within the Church tab, where parish members can welcome you by reacting with a ❤️ or by tapping Say Hello which sends you a friendly private message right in the app.

You have the option to create a Group within the app, whether you are part of a Church or not. This feature allows you to create specific groups tailored to your needs.

You can message one-on-one with a friend or send a message to your church group chat. You can also customize your group chats!

You can post a prayer request to your friends or church from where you can pray for individual intentions or for all intentions. Intentions will remain active for 7 days. You will have the ability to respond to a prayer intention directly through a chat message and view intentions in a story-style carousel!

Engage with your church community by joining a Hallow community challenge. Complete daily sessions and reflections to deepen your faith journey. Your church can even create custom challenges for a more personalized experience! Share your reflections on the church activity feed or keep them private. Explore others' insights by tapping into the challenge card!
