Featured Listings is a pay-per-impression subscription for Happity Members. You pay 1p each time your class is shown within the top three relevant search results or is featured on class category pages. You set your own daily budget, and get one monthly bill. Any budget you don’t use rolls over to later days in the month, so you’re less likely to run out on busy days.
How do I set up Featured Listings?
Activate Featured Listings: go to Marketing > Featured Listings in your dashboard.
Set your daily budget: choose an amount, or enter your own. The minimum budget is 20p per day.
3. Choose your classes: use the on/off toggle next to each class you want to feature.
That’s it. Happity will start featuring your selected classes in matching searches straight away.
📝 Note: Any budget you don’t spend on one day rolls over to the following days. See How does the rollover budget work?
Who can use Featured Listings?
Featured Listings is a subscription service available to Happity Members only. If you’re on the free plan, you’ll need to upgrade before you can switch it on.
What does a Featured Listing actually do?
When a parent searches Happity by age range, day and location, your featured class appears at the top of the results. It’s labelled “Featured” in a box with a purple banner and a yellow star. It also appears at the top of relevant category pages (for example, Toddler Football) and is marked with a star on the map. For just 1p per search, it’s more targeted than Facebook or Google Ads. Your class still shows in its normal position too, so you’re visible in two places at once.
No more than three classes are featured on any one page* of search results.
Each page of search results shows three different Featured Listings.
Happity only features one of your classes per search results page, so your own listings never compete with each other on the same page.
Category pages feature one class per page.
A Featured Listing typically gets 6x more clicks.
📝 *Note: Our Happity search results are split into pages that customers can navigate between, with a maximum of 50 classes per page. With three different Featured listings at the top of each page, there are more chances for your classes to be featured within those top three!
How does the pricing work?
You’re charged 1p each time your class is shown at the top of a matching search or category page. That’s £10 for 1,000 impressions. You’ll get one bill each month for what you’ve spent, and you’ll never spend more than your monthly cap: your daily budget multiplied by the number of days in the month.
If none of your featured classes match a search on a given day, you won’t be charged.
If more than one of your featured classes matches a customer’s search criteria, Happity shows the closest match as the Featured Listing and charges 1p.
If there’s more than one page of search results, a different featured class from your listings may appear on the second or third page for an additional 1p.
The minimum budget is 20p per day; you may spend less than this on quieter days and more on roll-over days.
You’ll get a reminder 7 days before your bill is due. You can check what you owe at any time in Marketing > Featured Listings.
💡 Example: With a daily budget of £0.50, the most you can spend is £15 in a 30-day month or £15.50 in a 31-day month.
How does the rollover budget work?
The number of searches varies from day to day. Any budget you don’t spend on a quieter day rolls over to the following days. It may mean you spend more than your daily budget on busier days.
Budget only rolls over within the same month. It resets at the start of each new month.
Your total spend for the month never goes over your monthly cap.
You only pay for impressions (at 1p per matching featured search, never for unspent budget).
You shouldn’t need to adjust your daily budget as often.
💡 Tip: If you keep getting emails saying your daily budget has run out early, it may be worth increasing it.
Can I see how my Featured Listings are performing?
Yes. Go to Marketing > Featured Listings to see how many times your classes have been featured, how much you’ve spent, and when your next bill is due. The spending chart lets you switch between your daily spend and a running total, so you can see how much budget is rolling over from quieter days.
How do I change my Featured Listings budget?
Click Edit budget in the daily budget box.
Choose a new daily budget, or type an amount in the Other amount box.
Click Save budget.
💡 Tip: The Edit budget page includes an example graph showing how rollover works. It’s handy if you need a quick reminder.
Can I turn Featured Listings on and off for individual classes?
Yes. Use the on/off toggle next to each class at any time.
Why don’t I show as a Featured activity every time?
Featured Listings rotate between providers. Happity picks which listing to show based on the parent’s location, their child’s age and the class type. If more than three providers in your area use Featured Listings, Happity alternates between you. You may also not appear if your available budget has been used up for that day - taking into account your rolling budget as well.
You’ll still show in normal search results either way. You’re only charged when your class is actually featured.
How do I cancel Featured Listings?
To stop featuring all your classes, use the Feature all toggle at the top of the page to turn them off. Your subscription stays active, so you can switch it back on whenever you like.
📝 Note: Because you only pay for impressions, your monthly bill will show £0.00 if no classes are featured that month.

FAQs
Are Featured Listings the same as appearances in the What's On newsletter?
No, the Featured Listings subscription service is different from appearances in the What's On newsletter, which happen automatically if you're a member with verified class and dates added - this is regardless of whether or not you have Featured Listings turned on.
