Featured Listings is a paid advertising tool available to Happity Members that places your classes at the top of relevant search results and category pages. You're billed just 1p per impression, set your own daily budget, and only pay when your classes are actually shown to parents.
Who can use Featured Listings?
Featured Listings is a subscription service available to Happity Members only. If you're currently on our free plan, you'll need to upgrade before you can activate this feature.
What does a Featured Listing actually do?
When a parent searches Happity using filters — age range, day of the week, and location — your Featured class appears at the top of the results, clearly labelled as a 'Featured activity' with a purple banner and yellow star. It also appears at the top of relevant category pages (for example, Baby Yoga London), and is highlighted on the map with a star. For just 1p per search, our system is more targeted than Facebook or Google Ads.
Your class still appears in its normal position in the results as well — so Featured Listings give you visibility in two places at once.
A few things worth knowing:
No more than 3 classes are featured in any one set of search results, so there's very little competition for that top spot.
Happity will only feature one of your classes per search result, so your own listings are never competing against each other.
Featured Listings on category pages show one class per page — giving you prominent placement for parents browsing by type of class.
A Featured Listing typically receives 6x more clicks.
How does the pricing work for Featured Listings?
You're charged 1p each time your class is shown at the top of a matching search or category page. That's just £10 for 1,000 impressions.
You set a daily maximum budget — any amount you choose, starting from a minimum of 50p per day — and Happity will never charge more than that. If none of your featured classes match a parent's search on a given day, you won't be charged anything.
If more than one of your classes matches a single search, Happity selects the closest match and only counts that as one impression. Your budget goes further as a result.
How do I set up Featured Listings?
Go to My Classes > Featured Listings in your Dashboard. From there you can:
Set a daily maximum budget (you choose the amount - starting from a minimum of 50p per day).
Select which of your classes you want to feature using the on/off button.
That's it. Happity will start featuring your selected classes in matching searches straight away, up to your maximum daily budget.
Can I turn Featured Listings on and off for individual classes?
Yes, you can switch Featured Listings for individual classes on and off at any time by toggling the on/off button next to each class.
Can I see how my Featured Listings are performing?
Yes. The Featured Listings tab in your Dashboard shows you how many times your classes have been featured, how much has been spent, and when your next bill is due.
How do I change my Featured Listings budget?
You can alter your daily budget whenever you like via the Featured Listings tab in your Dashboard:
Click on the purple pen and paper symbol in the £ box next to ‘Budget £0.50/day’ to edit your maximum daily spend.
You'll also receive a reminder 7 days before your bill is due, and can check the current amount owed at any time.
Good to know: If you activate Featured Listings but don't select any classes, your classes won't appear as featured. You'll still receive a monthly statement, but it will show £0.00.
How do I cancel Featured Listings?
If you want to turn Featured Listings off for all your classes, you can do this by toggling them on/off in the ‘Feature all’ tab at the top of the page. Please note, you’ll still receive monthly bills for £0.00 and you can turn Featured Listings back on at any time when you want to start featuring classes again.
