Insurance on Happl
If your employer offers any insurance-related products on Happl (think Private Health, Critical Illness, etc) then this article is for you.
Happl consolidates all of your benefits offerings from your employer under one roof, meaning one go-to place for you to manage everything. If your employer hasn't notified you about any insurance products, or you can't see any on your Happl portal - then don't worry, it might be that your employer hasn't rolled it out yet.
If private health insurance or any other insurance product is something that you think would be a great addition to your benefits package. In that case, we recommend reaching out to your HR or People team directly.
Where can I find insurance on Happl?
You can find any insurance products on your Happl home tab - this is the first screen that you see when you log in to Happl. They will be listed under 'Core Benefits'.
What can I see and update?
Your insurance products on Happl are unique in that they show you policy information, and cover, and let you manage in real time. Here's a few things that you can do:
Opt-in and out
Depending on how your employer has set up your insurance policy, you can opt in and out in real-time directly on Happl.
Some employers will auto-enroll you to a policy and require you to opt-out if you don't want cover, others will give you the option to opt in.
View Policy Information
When making a claim or reaching out to your insurer directly, you sometimes need to provide some key information. We display all of this in Happl, under the 'About Your Policy' section.
This covers everything from the insurance type, cover dates, policy ID, cost, and if the benefit is taxable to you. Any tax-related questions can be answered directly in the Happl chatbot (bottom right of your screen).
Add or Remove Dependants
If your employer and insurance product allow this, you can add and remove dependants directly in Happl. Here you will see a status, so you can check back to see if this is pending, or approved, or if more information is needed.
It is important to check with your employer how they handle dependants. Some might charge you directly, whilst others don't.
View Documents
Any related policy documents, how-to guides, and more will be available directly in Happl. Long gone are the days of scurrying in your emails to try and find the file that you need!
