📦 Creating and Printing Shipping Labels

This guide walks you through the entire process of generating and printing shipping labels for your Shopify orders using the our App — whether you create the parcel before or after fulfillment, and whether you're working with single or multiple orders.

🏷️ Step 1: Decide When to Create the Label

You can create labels either before or after fulfilling the order. Both options support bulk processing.

Option A: Create Label After Fulfillment (Auto Create)

With Auto Create enabled, the parcel is generated automatically after fulfillment.
Tracking is injected and emailed to the customer immediately.

Best for:

  • Fast, hands-off shipping

  • Split fulfillments or partial shipments

Steps (Single or Bulk):

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Orders

  2. Select or open orders

  3. Click Mark as Fulfilled
    Leave tracking fields empty – the app fills them in automatically

  4. Labels are created automatically (if Auto Create is enabled)

  5. Proceed to printing (see next step)

To disable Auto Create for a specific order, tag it in Shopify order with: packeta_auto_create_disabled

Option B: Create Label Before Fulfillment

Create the parcel manually before marking the order as fulfilled.
The tracking number is injected after fulfillment, and the tracking email is sent at that time.

Best for:

  • Printing the label before packing the order

  • Delaying the customer notification - (e.g. if you don’t want to send tracking emails on weekends or outside business hours)

Steps (Single or Bulk):

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Orders

  2. Select one or more unfulfilled orders

  3. Click More actions > Create Parcels

  4. You’ll be redirected to the App

  5. Click Create shipping labels button to generate labels

  6. Once the parcel is created, you can print the label right away using the Print Labels button

  7. Fulfill the order(s) later — tracking info will be added automatically

🖨️ Step 2: Print the Shipping Label

Once a parcel is created, you can print the label in several ways:

Method 1: From Order Detail

  1. Open the order

  2. Click More actions > Print Labels

  3. You’ll be redirected to the App, where all selected order will be pre-loaded

  4. Click Print labels

  5. The labels will open in a new browser tab as a PDF. You can print them directly from there.

Method 2: Bulk Print from Orders List

  1. Go to Orders

  2. Select multiple orders

  3. Click More actions > Print Labels

  4. You’ll be redirected to the App, where all selected orders will be pre-loaded

  5. Click Print labels

  6. The labels will open in a new browser tab as a PDF. You can print them directly from there.

Method 3: Directly in the Packeta App

  1. Open the App

  2. Go to the Orders section

  3. Select ready-to-ship orders — only orders that already contain a tracking number can be printed.

  4. Click Print labels

  5. The labels will open in a new browser tab as a PDF. You can print them directly from there.
