HappySoup’s Where is this used? is much more powerful than Salesforce’s built-in version. We cover way more metadata types and give you a fuller picture of dependencies across Apex, Flows, validation rules, and more.
That said, there are still a few limitations to be aware of.
Current limitations
Here are the main gaps in today’s impact analysis:
Reports
We don’t yet show if fields are being used in reports.Newer Flow elements
Salesforce keeps releasing new Flow functionality, and sometimes we may miss references in the very latest elements until we catch up.Standard fields
We currently only support a hard-coded list of standard fields for certain objects.Picklist values
We analyze dependencies at the field level only. We can’t yet show impact for a specific picklist value.
What we’re building next
We’re working on a new version called HappySoup Desktop. This version is designed to address all of today’s limitations and give you an even deeper, more reliable impact analysis.
If you want early access, send us a message and we can include you in the beta program.
