Harbiz MCP connects your AI assistant (Claude or ChatGPT) to your Harbiz account. Once connected, you can give it instructions in plain language; it will query your client data and library, as well as create, schedule, or assign items for you inside Harbiz.
It is neither a new app nor a separate chatbot: it is your Harbiz account, managed directly from the AI tool you already use.
This article explains what you need, how to connect step by step in Claude and ChatGPT, what permissions it requires, and what it can do once connected.
Before You Begin
You will need two things:
Your Harbiz professional account credentials (email and password).
A Claude or ChatGPT account accessed via desktop browser:
Claude: Works on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. For Team or Enterprise accounts, the owner adds the connector once, and team members simply activate it.
ChatGPT: Works on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, strictly via web browser (not supported on the mobile app). On enterprise accounts, the administrator must enable custom connectors.
No desktop installation is required.
Connector URL
The connector URL is identical for both Claude and ChatGPT:
Copy it exactly as shown, including the trailing /mcp. You will need it in Step 4.
How to Connect in Claude
Open Claude in your web browser and go to Settings (click your profile picture or initials in the top right corner).
In the left-hand menu, select Connectors (on some accounts, this is located under Customize → Connectors).
Click Add (or the + button) and select Add custom connector.
Enter a name (e.g., Harbiz) and paste the connector URL. You do not need to modify "Advanced Settings."
Click Add, then click Connect. Harbiz will open: log in with your professional account and click Authorize.
Inside a conversation, click + → Connectors and enable Harbiz.
🌟 Team or Enterprise AI Accounts: The account owner adds the connector once under Organization Settings → Connectors. Remaining team members simply click Connect within their own accounts. |
How to Connect in ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT in your web browser.
Go to Settings → Connectors (labeled Apps and connectors on some accounts).
Open Advanced and enable Developer Mode (this toggle enables custom connectors).
Return to Connectors and click Create. Name it Harbiz, paste the connector URL, and keep the authentication set to OAuth.
Once created, Harbiz will open: log in with your professional account and click Authorize. ChatGPT will display the list of detected actions.
In the chat interface, open the tools menu using the + button and enable Harbiz whenever you want it to operate on your account.
🚨Warning: You must complete the setup process from a desktop web browser. Setup cannot be performed using the mobile app. |

Usage Examples
The power of the connector lies in combining actions and cross-referencing context from your chat (e.g., call transcripts, notes, documents) with real-time Harbiz data:
"Gather all information for Ana." → Consolidates her profile metrics, history, recent notes, and schedule into a single summary.
"What has Marcos trained over the last few weeks?" → Reviews his schedule and your library to summarize volume, frequency, and targeted muscle groups.
"Propose a new training week for Ana and add it." → Designs a schedule tailored to her goals and injury constraints, creates missing routines, and places each session on her calendar.
"Which clients need attention this week?" → Analyzes client adherence data and highlights who requires adjustments.
"Based on today's call with Ana: set up her monthly workout plan and assign the most suitable nutrition plan." → Creates the routines, schedules the sessions, and assigns a plan from your library.
💡 All items created or scheduled by your AI assistant will appear in your account as if created manually, making them immediately visible to clients in their app. Always review generated items before finalizing. |
Current Limitations
The system currently does not support:
Creating recipes or nutrition plans from scratch (it can create missing food items and assign existing plans from your library).
Moving or canceling existing calendar workouts (it can schedule new sessions, but rescheduling or deleting requires logging into Harbiz directly).
Accessing billing, invoicing, or client messaging.
Frequently Asked Questions
The custom connector option is missing:In Claude Team/Enterprise accounts, the owner must add the connector via Organization Settings. In ChatGPT, verify Developer Mode is toggled on and that you are using a desktop browser; Enterprise admins must explicitly allow custom connectors. |
My assistant says it lacks Harbiz tools:The connector is disabled for that chat session. Enable it via the + menu in the chat box, or start a new conversation with the connector enabled. |
The AI prompts for authorization again:This occurs after extended periods of inactivity (over 30 days) or following a Harbiz password reset. Log in and re-authorize when prompted. |
Can I use this on mobile?Initial setup must be completed on desktop. Once configured, Claude supports usage via its mobile app. ChatGPT currently restricts custom connectors to web browsers. |
What happens if I request an unsupported action? The assistant will inform you that it cannot perform the task. If it reports an unreflected change, verify directly in Harbiz and report the issue to support@harbiz.io |
How do I revoke access?Delete the connector from your settings menu in Claude or ChatGPT. Access to your Harbiz account will terminate immediately. |
