We encourage all of our non-profit partners to apply directly with Stripe for their non-profit processing fee discount! 💸
To receive the "Nonprofit Discount Rate" for Stripe's payment processing fees, nonprofits must have 501(c)(3) status and an EIN number.
The discounted rate will lower your donation processing fees for most donations from 2.9% + $0.30 to 2.2% + $0.30. (AmEx rates may vary up to 3.5%)

How To Apply
Stripe offers a discounted processing fee for qualifying nonprofit organizations. Stripe's custom charity pricing structure is only applicable for organizations accepting donations (e.g. not selling products or tickets), and by receiving these discounted rates, your organization will be agreeing to primarily use your Stripe account for this purpose.
To help you maximize your ROI with Harness, we’d like to support you in acquiring your Stripe non-profit discount (or confirm whether it’s already been applied). To initiate the process, please ensure you’re signed into the Stripe account where you receive Harness payouts, then email nonprofit@stripe.com to contact Stripe support via your Stripe Dashboard. Copy & paste the below email template into the email and fill in all of the fields enclosed in {...}, replacing the placeholder text with your organization's information.

I’m reaching out on behalf of {Your org's name as displayed in your Stripe account} , a non-profit organization, in regard to your Stripe Fee Discount for Nonprofits.
I have provided the information requested below:

I CONFIRM that 80% of our payment volume will be tax deductible donations.
Stripe does not retroactively apply the nonprofit discount, so please submit your request for the discount as early as possible so you can receive the discounted rate on all donations moving forward.
Stripe does not notify Harness when you are approved. Please email help@goharness.com with the confirmed discount approval so we can adjust your Harness platform to offer a more accurate cover fee to your donors.
