Why Stripe Requires Personal Information
Security and compliance are Stripe’s top priorities. To verify your identity and connect you to your organization, Stripe requires administrators to provide sensitive information, including:
Date of Birth
Social Security Number (SSN)
Other identifying details
This verification process ensures that you are a legitimate individual affiliated with the nonprofit and helps prevent fraud. Stripe does not store or use this information beyond the initial verification process. Additionally, providing this information will not impact your credit score.
