My bank is not available on Plaid - what do I do?

How to troubleshoot plaid issues.

It can be frustrating when your financial institution doesn't appear in the automated search, but it doesn't mean you can't fund your account. This usually happens with smaller local banks or credit unions that haven't integrated with Plaid's API yet. Here are a few options for you

Use a Major Bank or Digital Bank

If your local credit union continues to have issues, many stewards find it helpful to open a "hub" account at a larger institution (like Chase or Capital One) or a digital bank (like Ally or SoFi) which typically have 100% compatibility with automated linking.

Check for Account "Blocks"

Some banks have security settings that prevent third-party "pulls" (ACH transfers). If your manual link fails, call your bank and ask if they have a block on ACH transfers from Alpaca Securities LLC.

Important Security Note

Harvest and Plaid use bank-level encryption. We never see your bank login credentials; we only receive a secure "token" that allows us to move money according to your instructions.
