What Is Gtee?
Gtee makes post-handover compliance simple. It connects building companies to the homeowner, and automates the process of managing defects, warranties and ongoing maintenance.
Gtee is an online platform that collects the warranty and maintenance information for the products used in your build, stores it in one place, and reminds the owner when maintenance is due.
Instead of putting together a handover folder by hand, you select the products you used and Gtee pulls in the matching information. Gtee is used by more than 700 building companies and over 22,000 of their clients across Australia and New Zealand, from national group builders to one-person businesses.
The Problems Gtee Solves
Warranty and maintenance handover is one of the most time-consuming parts of finishing a build, and one of the most common sources of call-backs after it.
The problem | What it costs you | How Gtee helps |
Collating warranty and maintenance info by hand | Hours of admin per build chasing supplier documents | Select products from a library of 10,000+ and the info loads automatically, in about 15 to 20 minutes |
Owners lose or never read the handover folder | Calls asking how to look after products, or who installed them | Owners get 24/7 online access from any device |
Owners miss essential maintenance | Many manufacturer warranties carry maintenance conditions; missed upkeep can lead to failed claims and call-backs to you | Automatic reminders when maintenance is due or overdue |
Disagreement over what information was handed over | Disputes with no record to fall back on | Every warranty and maintenance notification sent to the owner is recorded |
Product maintenance requirements change after handover | Owners working from outdated instructions | Owners' records update when suppliers change their requirements |
How Gtee Works
Enter the site and client details for your build.
Start from a saved template or a previous build, or select products from the Gtee product library.
Request any product that isn't in the library. Gtee adds it to the database and to your build.
Upload build-specific documents, such as plans, specifications, site-specific warranties, paint colour schedules, and compliance documents.
Add your sub-contractor list, such as plumbers and electricians, if you want to share their contact details with the owner.
Hand over to the owner. They receive their login details and access everything online.
Please Note: Each dwelling needs its own Gtee account.
