Reporting hazards and managing issues on-site with HazardCo Tasks

It's important to be safe on the job! Creating Tasks is a simple way to report hazards and help keep everyone safer on-site.

Who can use Tasks?

  • If you have Complete, Premium, or Standard Plan:

    • You can make new Tasks and assign them to team members, using both the App and the Hub.

  • If you pay for Project Plus:

    • You can assign Tasks to anyone checked into the site.

  • For everyone:

    • You can see any Tasks given to you in the HazardCo App.


Using HazardCo Tasks

Work sites change all the time, and so do the risks. Reporting hazards helps everyone stay safe by pointing out dangers or suggesting better ways to do things.

HazardCo Tasks make it easy to spot, talk about, and fix risks where you work. You can highlight dangers or issues and tell the right person to sort them out.


How to add Tasks with the HazardCo App:

  1. Open the App: Find and open the HazardCo App. Tap “Tasks” at the top of the main screen or tap "create" at the bottom.

  2. Add a Task: Press the blue button that says ‘Add new task’ at the bottom.

  3. Describe the Task: Type in what needs fixing or attention.

  4. Choose who fixes it: Pick the team member who should handle it. If you pay for Project Plus then you can assign tasks to anyone checked into the site.

  5. Give details and submit: Fill in all boxes that ask for information. Add anything else that helps. Press ‘Submit’ to start the task.

  6. Notification: The person chosen gets a message saying they have a task.

  7. Check Tasks: In the app, use the ‘Mine’ tab to see your tasks. ‘Others’ shows tasks for other people or tasks that are not yet picked up. Under ‘Done’ you can find your finished tasks.


Adding Tasks during Reports:

If you see a problem while completing a report:

  1. Press the “Create Task” button in the report to start a new task.

  2. Enter a title and add a description or photos if needed

  3. The address field will already be filled in for you with the address from the report. Assign the task to the person that will fix it and you'll be returned to the report after creating the task.


Looking at and changing Tasks:

  1. Open Tasks: In the App, tap “Tasks” to see the list.

  2. Choose a Task to change: Tap a Task to see details.

    You can add comments or pictures, change information like who’s doing it or by when, and update how urgent it is.

  3. Save changes: After adding updates, everyone can see what’s changed in the Activity area.


Deleting a Task:

Need to remove a Task? Easy:

  1. Find the task in the list.

  2. Press the three dots menu next to it and choose Delete.

Be careful:

  • Deleting is permanent. Only the task creator or a Hub Admin can delete.

  • If you can’t delete, ask your account admin about becoming a Hub Admin. Only Hub Admins and the person who created the Task can delete them.
