Step-by-step guide to creating projects using the new project ordering process with automatic draft saving

Who Can Order Projects?

  • Complete and Premium Customers: Can order projects through the new streamlined process

  • Hub Admin or Hub User role: Required to access project ordering functionality

New Project Ordering Process

The updated project ordering system guides you through a streamlined 4-step process, with automatic draft saving at each step.

Page 1: Basic Project Details

  1. Log in to the HazardCo Hub, go to the Projects page, and click the 'Create New Project' button

  2. Enter basic project information:

    • Project name

    • Site address

    • Description of work

  3. Answer the required questions about the type of project that you are undertaking and click continue

Page 2: Project Type Selection

Select your project type from the available options

Note: If there are multiple options, the best-suited one will have a “Recommended” tag. This helps to make sure you have the appropriate health and safety documentation for your project.

Page 3: Health and Safety Information

Fill out the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) for your project:

  • General information

  • Emergency contacts

  • Emergency information

  • Hazard identification and risk management

  • High risk work

  • Notifiable work

The left-side menu quickly shows your progress and the sections that are in progress, completed, and left to complete.

Note: All of this health and safety information can be updated at any stage from the Project Overview page.

Page 4: Review and Payment

  1. Review your project order to confirm that all information is correct, particularly the following details:

    • Project Name

    • Project Address

    • Deliver Address

  2. Select the products you want included in your order

  3. Enter an order reference (if needed) and any specific delivery instructions

  4. Click Submit to complete your project order

Once you have ordered your project

  1. You’ll land on a Project Order Success screen and your project will now be active

  2. You’ll receive an email confirming your project order and any physical products included in your order will be dispatched to the specified delivery address.

Access your Project Overview to begin managing your project

Click on the Project Options button to:

  • Download the SSSP

  • Download the QR Code

  • Edit project details

  • You can email contractors at any time from the Project Overview > Contractors area to send them the SSSP and instructions for accessing the site safely

  • You can upload and share any other relevant project documents

  • You can assign tasks to your team and any other people who have scanned onto your project


Automatic Draft Saving

The new project ordering system automatically saves your progress as you complete each page:

  • Automatic saving: Your project details are saved automatically as you progress through each step

  • Resume later: If you need to close the project setup before completing payment, your progress is saved as a draft

  • Access drafts: Return to complete your project order anytime from the Drafts tab in your My Projects list

  • No data loss: All information you've entered will be preserved until you complete or delete the draft

Note:

  • Draft projects are automatically saved at each step of the ordering process

  • You can have multiple draft projects in progress simultaneously

  • Draft projects remain available until completed or manually deleted

  • Once payment is completed, your project moves from Draft status to Active status
