Updated over a week ago

Who can order Workplace Safety Projects?

You need to be an Agriculture, Horticulture or Manufacturing customer on a Premium account and Hub Admin or Hub User role.

How to create a new project

The project ordering process has 4 steps. Your progress is saved automatically at each step.

Step 1: Project details

  1. Log in to the HazardCo Hub and go to Projects

  2. Click Create New Project

  3. Enter your project name, site address, and description of work

  4. Answer the questions about your project type

  5. Click Continue

Step 2: Select Project

Select “Workplace Safety Project”

Step 3: Complete your Safety Plan

Complete the fields to create your Safety Plan. This will include:

  • General information

  • Emergency/Amenities Information

  • Risk Management / Documentation

The left menu shows your progress.

Save this as a template: Tick Save as template, enter a template name, and reuse it for future projects

Note: If you have no templates yet, "Save as template" is ticked automatically.

Step 4: Review and pay

  1. Check that your project name, project address, and delivery address are correct

  2. Select any products you want

  3. Add an order reference (optional) and delivery instructions (if applicable)

  4. Click Submit

After you submit your order

  • Your project is now active

  • You'll receive a confirmation email

  • If you ordered physical products, they will be sent to your delivery address

  • Any template you saved is now available for future projects

Managing your project

From Project Overview, click Project Options to:

  • Download the Safety Plan or QR Code

  • Edit project details

  • Save as template

You can also:

  • See who has scanned on site and email contractors from Project Overview > People On-site

  • Upload and share documents

  • Assign tasks to your team

Remember that when a worker has scanned the QR code, any safety documentation they complete on the HazardCo App will be stored directly under the project, making it easier to find specific information for each workplace.

Editing your Safety Plan

Update your Safety Plan when there are changes to the workplace:

Common reasons to update:

  • New hazards identified or controls added

  • Contact details change

  • Emergency equipment locations or procedures change

How to edit:

  1. Open Project Overview

  2. Click Project Options > Edit Project

  3. Update any section needed

  4. Click Save

Your Safety Plan is automatically regenerated and the updated version is immediately available in the Hub and App.

Important:

  • Document generation takes a few seconds

  • Only the current version is kept - download the old version first if you need it

Automatic draft saving

  • Your progress saves automatically at each step

  • Resume later from the Drafts tab in My Projects

  • You can have multiple drafts at once

  • Once you pay, your project moves from Draft to Active

Project templates

Templates save your Workplace Safety Project answers to reuse for similar projects, including emergency procedures, hazards, controls, and safety protocols.

Creating templates

  • Option 1: Save while ordering a project When you reach Step 3, tick Save as template, enter a name, complete your Safety Plan, and submit.

  • Option 2: Save an existing project Open Project Overview > Project Options > Save as Template, enter a name, and save.

  • Option 3: Create from scratch (free) Go to Projects > Manage Templates > Create New Template, enter a name, fill in fields, and save.

Managing templates

Go to My Projects > Manage Templates to view, edit, or delete templates.

Important:

  • Template names must be unique in your company

  • Updating a template doesn't change existing projects

  • Deleting a template doesn't affect projects that used it
