1. Download the HazardCo App
Get the App on your phone and start using it as part of your everyday work and make sure your whole team does the same.
Download the HazardCo App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Log in using the details you received by email when your membership was activated.
Please Note: If you haven't received your login details, or you're unsure, call us on 0800 555 339 and we'll sort it out.
2. Access Your Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
Your Health and Safety Policy and Procedures (P&P) document outlines how work should be done safely, helps reduce the risk of injury or illness, and shows your commitment to a healthy workplace.
Log into the HazardCo Hub.
Click Company Settings.
Open and download your Policy and Procedures document.

3. Invite and Pre-Qualify Your Contractors
Managing contractors comes with risk, but HazardCo makes it simple to protect your business with an automated system to pre-qualify contractors and check insurance, trade qualifications, and more.
In the Hub, invite your contractors and send an invitation for pre-qualification.
You'll be notified by email when a contractor submits their pre-qualification.
Head back into the Hub to review the submission. You can check the pre-qualification status of all contractors at a glance.
Accept or reject the submission. If you reject one, write a comment explaining why so the contractor can resubmit successfully.
Please Note: As part of your membership, we'll follow up with your contractors during their first 30 days. If any haven't completed their pre-qualification within 10 days, our team will step in to remind them and offer support. If you're not sure whether a contractor's submission is acceptable for your business, our HazardCo experts can review submissions for you call us to find out more about this service and pricing.
4. Carry Out a Task Analysis
You can complete a Task Analysis (TA) in the HazardCo App for any high-risk work.
Open the HazardCo App.
Start a new Task Analysis for the high-risk work being carried out.
Work through the prompts to record the hazards, controls, and people involved.
Task Analysis with Risk Matrix: For tenders, prequalification, or more complex work, use Task Analysis with Risk Matrix to assess hazards by mapping the likelihood and consequence of each risk. For most everyday jobs, a standard Task Analysis is all you need.

5. Add Your Team
Set your team up on the HazardCo App so they can help you manage your daily Health and Safety.
Log into the Hub.
Go to Company Details.
Scroll to Manage Team and click Add Team Member.
Enter their first name, last name, email address, and phone number, then choose their role.
Click Save.

6. Check Your Health and Safety Documentation Schedule
Documentation is a key way of showing that Health and Safety is active on-site. It provides evidence for incident investigations, Regulator inspections, and insurance claims, and helps share learnings with your team. All of the digital Health and Safety documentation created with HazardCo can be accessed from the Hub.

7. Complete Your Free HazardCo / BeSafe Training
Your HazardCo membership includes access to BeSafe's Toolbox Online course a self-paced, 4-hour training that covers essential construction Health and Safety knowledge for your workers and contractors.

8. Complete Your Health and Safety Check
Our Health and Safety Checklist is a great place to start it walks you through the basics and shows you exactly what you need to set up. It's broken down into 5 simple areas: Work, People, Incidents, Emergency Procedures, and Administration.
Open the Health and Safety Checklist.
Work through each of the 5 areas, focusing on what applies to your business.
Start with the highest priority items so you can get the most important things in place quickly.
Please Note: Not everything will apply to every business skip anything that isn't relevant to the work you do.
