The Text Component allows you to add and professionally format structured text content on your headline page.

It is ideal for:

  • Body text

  • Headings

  • Structured lists

  • Explanatory notes

  • Highlighted text sections

  • Linked content

  • Tooltips with additional information

When you click inside the Text Component, a rich text editor opens, allowing you to write or edit text directly.

Below the “Content” section, you will see an icon with two small arrows.

When clicked, the Text Component expands from the editor sidebar into a separate pop-up window. This allows you to edit your text more comfortably without being limited to the narrow editor column.

Predefined Text Formats

Four predefined text styles are available:

  • Default Text (standard body text)

  • H1 (main heading)

  • H2 (subheading)

  • H3 (sub-subheading)

These formats help you build a clear visual hierarchy.

Formatting Options

In addition to the predefined formats, you can:

  • Format text in bold

  • Strike through text

  • Highlight text with a background color (highlighter effect)

  • Adjust text size

    • Minimum: 9 pt

    • Maximum: 64 pt

  • Change text color (based on the design colors defined in your dashboard)

Keyboard Shortcuts

As in most text editors, you can use standard keyboard shortcuts:

Ctrl/Cmd + B → Bold

Ctrl/Cmd + I → Italic

This allows you to quickly format selected text without using the toolbar icons.

When pasting preformatted text, existing formatting will be preserved as much as possible. If you want to paste text without formatting, use the keyboard shortcut: Shift + Alt + Command + V

Lists & Hierarchies

You can structure your content using:

  • Bullet points

  • Numbered lists

Hierarchy can be adjusted using the indent icons, allowing you to create nested list levels.

Text Alignment

The following alignment options are available:

  • Left aligned

  • Centered

  • Right aligned

Links

You can:

  • Add a link to selected text

  • Remove existing links

Link behavior is consistent with all other linking options within the system.

Tooltips

You can add tooltips to specific text sections. When users hover over the text, additional information will appear. This is ideal for short explanations or contextual hints.

Reset Formatting

Using the eraser icon, you can remove all applied formatting and reset the text to its default style.

AI Generate Feature

The Text Component includes built-in AI support.

You can:

  • Rephrase existing text

  • Shorten text

  • Extend text

  • Improve text

  • Adjust the tone of voice

  • Generate completely new text

The AI works either on selected text or based on your input.
