Inviting patients to download the app has never been easier.
All you need to do is download a patient report from your PMR system, and we can send a text message to all of your patients, inviting them to download the Healthera app. We refer to this as a Multi-Text Invite.
What are the benefits of inviting your patients to use the app?
You will see a quicker uptake of patients - this will take pressure off the staff in promoting the app in-store
Fewer phone calls from patients who want to chase prescriptions
Patients will have easier access to your OTC products, service bookings and clinic offerings
On average, patients using Healthera remember to place 2-3 more Rx orders per year
Reach your patients instantly with direct messaging and broadcasting
Automatic delivery of prescription requests to patients GPs
Pharmacies that do regular Multi-Text Invites tend to see the largest growth, uptake, and success with Healthera. We typically advise that the pharmacy does this once every 3 months, to maximise the benefits of using the app.
Is it safe to share Patient data with Healthera (and compliant)?
The invitation process that we use to invite your patients to join the platform fully complies with GDPR and is a process that we have run thousands of times across the UK. The relevant further GDPR statement on our Multi-Text Invite guidelines can be found here (page 13). We take data protection very seriously and it forms the core of our partnership with Pharmacies.
For the absence of doubt:
Patient contact details provided are compliant with GDPR.
Registered users will not receive a text invite if their number is already registered on Healthera. Please encourage patients to register their numbers to avoid getting the invites again.
There is always some friction in contacting patients and we can help mitigate and solve this to ensure you receive the full benefits of the platform.
Our support team are also available to help patients (support@healthera.co.uk) if they have further questions.

How do we manage your Patient data?
For us to carry out a Multi-Text invite, the only information we need is the patient's mobile number.
Often, the patient's mobile number can be entered as a home number on the PMR system. It could be more effective to provide us with both of these fields. Any other data can be deleted or removed before sending us the file. This is an important step to limit the sharing of unnecessary information.
We are also ISO 27001 certified - this is a globally recognised standard for keeping information safe. It means that we have strong systems in place to protect data and manage security risks, following best practices.
We do not store patient details - all patient data is deleted after we process your Multi-Text Invite.

Now that I've downloaded my report, what's next?
Once you have downloaded your patient file, all you need to do is email this to your Customer Success Manager. You can email this to them directly, or to success@healthera.co.uk.
When emailing your patient file, it is important to password protect the file to make sure data is shared safely, and securely. Make sure to share the password and the file in separate emails.
Your Customer Success Manager will process this for you, and will confirm once your text invites have been sent, and to how many patients. All you will need to do, is to keep an eye on your 'Patients' and 'Orders' tab in Connect for patients signing up and new orders!
Patients will get a text after a week if they have not clicked on the link to download the app. They will get a subsequent reminder after 21 days. If the patient wants to be removed from further invites, they can click 'STOP' in the text message or contact support@healthera.co.uk who will be able to process their request.
