Our new Service Booking feature gives pharmacies greater flexibility to customise and manage appointments. This initial release focuses on customisable content and forms part of a wider project to enhance the Services feature in Connect—soon enabling pharmacies to offer in-app payments, questionnaires, and other add-ons.
Branch level services
To create a new service in Connect, follow the steps below:
Open 'Services' in Connect. As a 'Pharmacist' user, you will have access to 'Listed services' and 'Consultation rooms'.
Click 'Add new service'
Search from our service template
Select the service
If you want to add in a custom name and custom description, you can add this here.
From the drop down, you can select which category you would like this service to be categorised under.
You can then select the Availability, Consultation Type, Practitioner Type, Service Duration and Concurrent Slots.
Select whether it is a free, or paid for service. In subsequent launches, you will be able to charge the patient for their appointment through the app.
Select the Consultation Room.
Click 'Save' in the top right hand corner.
Once you have clicked save, you will then have two new options. One for 'Content' and another for 'Schedule'.
Click on 'Content'. Here, you can add a short description, as well as a longer description where you can add bullet points, photos and any other content you feel necessary.
You can click on 'Add new section' to add multiple sections of text.
Click 'Save'. This will save your changes, but they will not be published until you click 'Save and publish'.
Click 'Schedule'.
Amend your schedule by clicking on the appointment boxes. Anything in green will be available for the patient to book. (To make this quicker, you can click on the day and time to block out the entire row/column).
Click 'Save'
When you are happy with the content added, click 'Save and publish'.
Please note: if you are part of a pharmacy group, and you try add a new service, you may get this pop up. This just means that the group admin has already added this service.
You may still be able to edit the settings, content and schedule, depending on whether the group admin has allowed you permission. However, if you do this, any changes the group admin makes will not be reflected on your own service.
