Healthera markets to patients across the UK and matches them with community pharmacies on our network. When a patient we've acquired places an order or books an appointment with you, a small success-based fee applies — no upfront spend, no risk.


How it works

  1. We find patients looking for a pharmacy

    • Healthera runs national marketing, maintains integrations with platforms like MyGP and eConsult, and appears in Google Maps via Reserve with Google — so patients can find a pharmacy near them, digitally.


  2. We match them to your pharmacy

    • Patients who sign up through Healthera directly are matched to a pharmacy based on location and availability. You don't need to do anything to receive these patients.


  3. The patient orders or books with you

    • The patient places a prescription order or books a service appointment through Healthera, and it lands in your queue just like any other order.


  4. A small fee applies on completion

    • Once the order is fulfilled or the appointment completed, a per-item or per-appointment fee is charged. Cancelled or declined items are never billed.



Success-based pricing

Fees are a flat rate per completed item or appointment — roughly 10–18% of average gross margin. No monthly retainer, no setup fee, and no charge if an order is cancelled or declined.


Your patients vs. Healthera's patients

The fee only applies when Healthera is the reason that patient found you. Patients you invited or already manage are never classified as referred.


Questions

Do I need to do anything to start receiving referred patients?

No. If your pharmacy is on the Healthera network, you're already eligible to receive referred patients. Orders and appointments appear in your queue automatically.

Can I control which services accept referred patients?

Yes. You can opt out of referred items entirely or disable specific services. Note that opting out means new patients discovering Healthera won't be matched to your pharmacy. Patients you have already invited will still be able to find and order from you.

What if I think a patient was already mine?

Patients always have the right to choose their pharmacy. Healthera channels digitally-active patients back to community pharmacies rather than losing them to online-only providers. If you believe a specific order has been misclassified, contact us and we'll investigate.

How does this compare to running my own marketing?

Traditional marketing — leaflets, Google Ads, social media — is paid upfront with no guarantee of results. Healthera's model is success-based: you only pay when a patient actually completes an order or appointment with you. At 10–18% of gross margin, it's a cost-effective alternative to any upfront spend.
