Service descriptions appear when patients click into a service in the Healthera app or website, just before they book. You can include a short explainer, longer details, and optional sections for things like aftercare, preparation, or fun facts.
1. Open the service you want to update
Click on the service you'd like to amend or add a description to.
2. Go to the "Content" tab
Click **Content** to open the description editor.
3. Add a short description
Click into the **Short Description** field and enter a brief explainer of the service. This is the summary patients will see when they click into the service before booking, so keep it clear and concise.
4. (Optional) Add a longer description
If you'd like to give patients more detail, click into the longer description area.
You can include things like:
- Key facts about the service
- Aftercare instructions
- Preparation steps the patient should take
- Images, where helpful
5. (Optional) Add a section title
Click the **Section title** field and type the title you'd like to give your service description (for example, "About this service" or "What to expect").
6. Save and publish
Click **Save and publish**. This pushes your updates live across the Healthera website and app, so patients will see your new description the next time they click into the service.
> ⚠️ **Important:** Make sure you select **Save and publish**. The **Save** button alone will only save your changes as a draft, and patients won't see them.
7. Confirm
Click **Confirm** to finalise the changes.
