Before you start
Online payments are taken when the patient books their appointment.
Healthera charges a service fee equal to 5% of the booking fee to cover payment processing and platform maintenance.
Add-ons are charged after the appointment, at your discretion, by completing the appointment outcomes.
You can manage payments and issue refunds directly within the appointment booking.
Step-by-step guide
1. Open the service you want to charge for
Navigate to https://connectme.healthera.co.uk/services and select the service you want to take payments for.
2. Open the "Payment" tab
Click Payment at the top of the service page.
3. Turn on online charging
Under Payment settings, click Yes – charge online to enable payments for this service.

4. Set your booking fee
Click into the Price field (showing £ 0.00) and type the price you'd like to charge for the booking fee.
ℹ️ How do I know the patient has paid?
A paid booking will appear in your calendar — that's your confirmation. You can also manage the payment and issue a refund directly from within the appointment booking.
Adding add-on items
Add-ons are extra products or services you can charge for following an appointment, at your discretion — for example, a referral note, sick note, or prescription medicine.
⚠️ Important: During the appointment, make sure the patient is made aware that they will be charged for any add-ons.
5. Name your add-on
In the Add-ons section, click the Name field (placeholder text reads "e.g. Sick note") and type the name of the add-on product you want to list.
6. Set the add-on price
Click into the add-on Price field (showing £ 0.00) and type the amount you'd like to charge for that product.
💡 Tip: You can add as many add-on products as you like. Once you've fulfilled the consultation, you can charge the patient for any of these by filling out the appointment outcomes.
7. Save your add-ons
Once you're happy with all the add-on products you've listed, click Save.
