Before you start
Categories are how your services are organised in the patient-facing app and website. A clear category structure makes it quicker for patients to find and book the right service.
Each category can include a name, a position (the order it appears in), and an optional image to help it stand out visually.
The position is a simple number —
1shows first,2shows second, and so on.
Step-by-step guide
1. Open your services list
Navigate to https://connectme.healthera.co.uk/services.
2. Open the "Categories" tab
Click Categories at the top of the services page.
3. Add a new category
Click Add New Category in the top right of the page.
4. Name your category
Click into the Category name field and type the name you'd like to use — for example, "Pharmacy First".
5. Set the position
Click into the Position number field and type the position you'd like this category to appear in — for example, 2 to make it the second category in your list.
💡 Tip: Use lower numbers for the categories you want patients to see first. If two categories share the same position, they'll appear in the order they were created.
6. (Optional) Add a category image
You can also add an image for your category to make it more visually engaging. To do so, click Click to upload image and select your desired image from your device's files.
💡 Tip: Use a clear, high-quality image that represents the service group well — for example, a pharmacy team shot for "Pharmacy First", or a vaccine icon for "Vaccinations".
7. Create the category
Once you're happy with your new category, click Create category in the top right of the page to save it.
