There are several different stages to the recruitment process all happening at the same time.

We will aim to complete the following steps within 2 weeks of your application:

1. Interview

You must attend an interview with your local Branch Manager either via a video call or in the branch. All nurses, Health Care Assistants and Support Workers will then start the induction process by completing our innovative online Virtual Shift.

2. Obtain references

If we are struggling to obtain your references we will contact you and ask for your help. It's important to inform your referees that we will contact them asking them to respond to us as quickly as possible.

3. Obtain results of a DBS check

You will need to take your documents into branch so we can apply for your DBS. DBS's are normally returned within 4 days and we should have the result by the time we have received satisfactory responses from your references.

4. Complete induction

Once you have cleared our referencing process you will be invited into branch to complete your induction. Our central recruitment team will contact you to arrange this. Induction is when you sign your contract, choose your uniform and collect your ID badge. Please make sure you know your availability so we can book your first shift with Newcross.

5. Make you active

Our dedicated central recruitment team will sign off your file and make you live once we have all documentation including a current M&H certificate and a DBS. If we are missing any documents for you, your local branch will ask you to bring these along to your induction. Once you are live and ready to pick up your first shift you will receive a text from us.

It's at this point you can log into HealthForceGo and update any details including bank details so you can be paid.
