RTS setup for HCSC — (BCBS IL, MT, NM, OK, and TX)

To enable enrollment on our platform, we need to verify your Ready-to-Sell (RTS) status.

For many carriers, this verification occurs automatically for you – via our carrier RTS integrations. For HCSC (BCBS IL, MT, NM, OK, and TX), we'll need to manually verify your statuses.

In a nutshell:

You'll email your NPN, Producer ID, and broker portal screenshots to RTS@healthsherpa.com. We'll then verify and update your HCSC RTS statuses in the HealthSherpa Medicare platform.

Let's walk through it:


1. Add HCSC brands to your Carrier Settings

First, add any HCSC brands you write for (BCBS IL, MT, NM, OK, or TX) to your Carrier Settings page, as you normally would. See how to add carriers.


2. Gather proof of RTS

Here's how to find your proof of RTS status for HCSC.

1. Log into your broker portal:

(Each HCSC brand has its own portal – but if you write for multiple HCSC brands, you only need to log in to one portal to see all of your RTS statuses, across brands.)

2. Click on the "My info" tab on the left navigation

(Not seeing "My info"? Click the logo to make sure you're starting from the homepage.)

2. Expand "Certifications" and "Licenses"

Click on each of the 2 arrow icons, for Certifications and Licenses.

3. Take a screenshot

Now, take a screenshot of the entire page, as shown above, making sure all of your Certifications and Licenses are in view.

3. Gather your Producer ID(s)

We'll also need your Producer ID(s). These vary per HCSC brand, so gather those from each of the HCSC broker portals you write for:

They're right here, on the "My Info" section:

Alternatively, you can get your Producer ID from the welcome email BCBS sends when you get appointed, example.

Note: we'd like your Producer ID included in the email as text (not just a screenshot).


4. Email us your RTS information

Send an email to RTS@healthsherpa.com, and include:

  • Your NPN

    • (Type your NPN into the email, not just a screenshot)

  • Your Producer ID

    • We need an ID for each brand you write for (BCBS IL, MT, NM, OK, or TX)

    • (Type this ID into the email, not just a screenshot)

  • Screenshots of your RTS status

    • Attach a screenshot showing all of your Certifications and Licenses, as described above.

If you write for more than one of BCBS IL, MO, NM, OK, or TX brands, please include everything in a single email.


Review and approval

  • We'll review your email to verify your HCSC RTS statuses.

  • We'll email you when we're done. Typically 1–3 business days.

  • If RTS is verified, your HCSC RTS statuses will be visible on your Carriers page.

  • Enrollment will be enabled in the Product, States, and Plan Years you're RTS for.

  • You're all set – happy enrolling!


Reporting changes

If your HCSC RTS status ever changes, email RTS@healthsherpa.com with updates. For example:

  • If you become RTS for new Products, States, or Plan Years.

  • If your RTS status is terminated, for a given Product, State, or Plan Year.

  • If your RTS status is reinstated, for a given Product, State, or Plan Year.

  • Or anything else you think we should be aware of.
