Why does my dashboard show "snippet not configured" when it's verified?

Sometimes you may notice that your dashboard displays a "snippet not configured" message even though you've successfully verified your heatmap tracking snippet. This can be confusing and concerning, but there are a few reasons why this might occur:

  1. Browser Caching

Your browser might be showing a cached version of your dashboard. Try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page to see if this resolves the issue.

  1. Low Traffic or Inactivity

The heatmap snippet works by sending data to our servers when user activities occur on your site. If your site has very low traffic or there hasn't been any recent activity, the lack of data transmission might trigger a false "not configured" status.

  1. Delayed Data Processing

There can sometimes be a slight delay between data collection and processing. This might cause a temporary discrepancy between the actual snippet status and what's displayed on your dashboard.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Wait for a few hours and check again. The status often updates automatically within this timeframe.

  2. Ensure your site is receiving some traffic. You can visit the site yourself to generate some activity.

  3. Clear your browser cache and reload the dashboard.

  4. Verify that the snippet is still correctly installed on your site.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's possible there may be a system anomaly. In this case, please contact our support team for further assistance. We'll be happy to investigate and resolve any underlying issues.

Remember, even if the dashboard shows this message temporarily, it doesn't necessarily mean your data isn't being collected. As long as the snippet is correctly installed, data collection should continue uninterrupted.
