What is dictation?
Dictation is a feature where Heidi will write out word-for-word anything you say. You can use it to get a complete script of the visit, an operative note, summary or simply to jot down your thoughts as you speak them aloud.
How do I dictate?
To use dictation:
firstly make sure you have toggled on 'Recording settings prompt'.
Go to Settings → Session settings → Recording settings prompt
This will ensure you see the pop-up at the beginning of each session where you can decide if you want to transcribe or dictate (Don’t worry we’re working on a fix to let you dictate without the session settings modal).
When you click on the Dictate option, you'll be able to choose the language that you will be dictating in and ensure your microphone input is correct.
Once you have your settings checked click 'Start recording'.
When you stop the Dictation, Heidi will produce a word-for-word document, similar to a script!
