Ask Heidi is an AI prompt where you are able to ask questions or give instructions to Heidi, to help you generate your perfect note. Think of Heidi as your intern or resident!

What kinds of things can I Ask Heidi?

You can ask Heidi to create something, or find information for you. Here are some examples of what you can Ask Heidi:

  • Create a referral letter for this patient to a dietitian

  • Create shorter handover summary

  • Remind me of the top three antidepressant medication names in Aus

  • Add billing codes

What can I create with Ask Heidi?

Ask Heidi is perfect for when you want to quickly generate something that you donā€™t have a template for. Simply type what you would like to create into the Ask Heidi bar at the bottom of the page, or press the Ask Heidi button on mobile to bring up the text box.

You can Ask Heidi with natural language, exactly how youā€™d ask an intern or resident to do something for you. e.g ā€œGenerate me a GP letter using this consult, addressed to doctor at the clinic [y]ā€

If you want more control over the structure of a document, use the ā€œCreate documentā€ button to create documents based on templates. If you need help setting up a template, you can read more on how to create templates here or reach out to support@heidihealth.com for further help!

What do the different options mean on Ask Heidi?

After Heidi has provided an answer, you will see a few buttons appear underneath the text.

Copy text - Copies Heidiā€™s answer to your clipboard for you to paste wherever youā€™d like.

Add to note - Adds Heidiā€™s answer to the bottom of text in your current tab

Replace note - Replaces the text in your current tab with Heidiā€™s answer

New tab - Adds a new tab within Heidiā€™s interface with Heidiā€™s answer.

What are the differences between AI textboxes

There are three AI bars in the Heidi platform, each one is fine tuned to perform a slightly different task.

Ask Heidi, Create Template, and Generate a Document find more detail on each below.

1.) Ask Heidi in session, this tool works off your current session and acts like an assistant, you can ask it to make slight adjustments to the note, remove sections, add sections, summarise sections, expand on sections, change the tone of voice, pull in common side effects of a medication, the options are quite vast. This will be one off, and wonā€™t save to the memory. To have changes you made carry over to new sessions, it is best you add the prompt you have used to the right section of the template.

2.) Create a Template this AI tool is fine tuned to make the perfect Heidi Template, use it to create templates for Notes, or Documents they will often need a little bit of tweaking to get it just right, but you can be quite detailed in the instruction.

3.) Create a Document Once you have produced your core note, you can use this text box to really create an endless option of medical documents and notes. This will be a one off, and wonā€™t save a template. If you really like the output, you might want to use ā€œAsk Heidiā€ to create a template of the session note provided. Or perhaps use the Create Template AI bar eg. ā€œCreate a template of a Mental Health Care Plan.ā€

How to generate ICD-10 codes with Ask Heidi ?

Simply type "Generate ICD-10 codes" into the Ask Heidi toolbar, and youā€™ll see the appropriate codes for your patient's diagnosis appear - streamlining the documentation and billing process.

If you always want ICD-10 codes in your notes, simply add it to your note template. For a practical guide on setting up and using templates, we've prepared a short tutorial available at this link. Building on the content in the tutorial, you can include an instruction to the AI model such as ā€œ(specify relevant ICD-10 code here)ā€ in the impression or assessment section when setting up your template. This will ensure that the relevant ICD-10 codes are directly embedded into your notes every time you apply your template.
