The difference between voice styles in Heidi allows users to tailor the length and detail of their generated notes to their specific preferences. There are four voice style options available: Brief, Goldilocks, Detailed, and Super Detailed.

  • Brief produces concise notes, ideal for users who prefer brevity in their documentation.

  • Detailed, on the other hand, generates more comprehensive notes, suitable for users who require a deeper level of detail in their documentation.

  • Super Detailed is designed to use many quotes in the clinical note and include even minor details that might be overlooked.

  • Goldilocks strikes a balance between the above two styles and finds the sweet spot, that’s “just right” between conciseness & detailedness that many clinicians prefer.

My notes are still too brief?

To enhance the detail in your clinical note using Heidi, consider leveraging several key features within the app:

  1. Voice Feature: Opt for the "Detailed" voice style to ensure a deeper overview of your session.

  2. Ask Heidi Feature: Make use of the "Ask Heidi" toolbar located at the bottom of your screen to provide general instructions such as “make my notes more detailed” or pose specific questions to Heidi such as “elaborate on the patient’s presenting complaints by including their own words”. This feature allows for a more personalised and detailed generation of content, directly aligned with your specific needs.

  3. Custom Templates: Develop and utilise custom templates that are geared towards capturing detailed information as per your documentation preferences. Custom templates allow you to define what information needs to be captured and how. These templates can be saved for future use, enhancing the specificity and depth of your notes as per your needs. For a practical guide on setting up and using personalised templates, we've prepared a short tutorial available at this link.

  4. Context: During sessions, the "Context" feature enables you to discreetly input additional notes or observations. This is particularly useful for capturing critical insights you prefer not to verbalise in the moment but consider important for comprehensive patient care documentation. You can add in any additions in the 'Context' tab.

  5. Switch Brain Hemisphere: You may find that the Right Brain Hemisphere allows for a more detailed output than the left brain, or vice versa - depending on the template you are using the Right Brain should more strictly stick to the template formatting. So if you are requesting a very detailed response in the template that isn't quite making it to the note - try Right Brain.

By integrating these strategies, you can significantly improve the granularity and utility of your clinical notes. Remember to press 'scribe' at the beginning of the consultation, so Heidi can transcribe your conversation and generate a clinical summary.
