You can create custom attributes from Product settings โ†’ Attributes to track anything about your tasks that you and your team care about.

We support a number of custom attribute types, including Text, Number, Multi-select, Single select, Date, Tasks, Users, and Files.

Text type attributes can be used for any freeform things you want to record.

Number type attributes are similar to text type, where you can enter freeform numbers (including decimals) for values you want to record.

Multi-select type attributes are good for when you want people to choose as many options as applicable.

For example, "Tags" is often a multi-select type, where a task can have both the tag "Bug" and "Enhancement."

Single select type attributes are useful for when you only want users to be able to pick one option for a task at a time.

For example, for "Priority," a task can be "High" or "Low," but it cannot be both "High" and "Low" at the same time.

Date type attributes can be used whenever you want to have a date attached to a task and can be used for things like "Start date," "Due date," and "ETA."

Tasks type attributes are good for when you want to specify some relationship to another task within Height, and can be used for things like "Blocked by", "Epic," or "Project."

Users type attributes are great for when you want to track who is doing something for a task, and can be used for things like "Account manager," "Product lead," "Designer," or "Reviewer."

Files type attributes are best for storing links to related task documents or files.
