Whether your team is working on milestones, sprints, or any other cadence, you can use Height to easily track your team’s velocity and the number of points completed on tasks.

How do I set up point and effort tracking?

To track points or effort on tasks, you must first create a custom attribute e.g., Points or Effort. Be sure to set the attribute type to be Number or Single select.

If the type is set to Number, users can freely enter numbers as values; if it’s set to Single select, you’ll need to create attribute options like 1, 2, 3, etc. for users to choose as the values.

Once the attribute is created, you can use it to add point or effort values directly to tasks to begin tracking!

How do I sum points and effort across tasks?

To see the total number of points or effort across tasks in a list, use our Configure feature!

With this feature, you can do things like see the total number of points allotted per sprint, or even see the average number of points per assignee in a sprint.
