Connect your Zapier account to set up custom automations from Product settings โ†’ Integrations.

Our Zapier integration lets you set up "Zaps", or automatic actions that happen when specific triggers occur in *public lists. There are three types of automations you can set up with this integration:

  • Zaps where you change something on Height (post a message to a task, update an existing task, create a new task, etc) when something happens in another tool (like when an Airtable record changes, when an Intercom ticket changes status, etc)

  • Zaps where you change something in another tool (like create a Discord message, change the status of a HelpScout ticket, etc) when something on Height changes (post a message to a task, update an existing task, create a new task, etc)

  • Zaps where you change something on Height when something else on Height happens, for example: change a task "Department" to "Ops" when a task is moved to the #ops-inbox list

*NOTE: Zaps can only be configured for public lists. Private lists (and attributes) aren't supported.

Zaps typically contain two things: 1) a trigger and 2) an action.

The trigger is what causes the action to happen: for example, you could set up a Zap where anytime a task is marked as Done, it posts a message to the Slack #shipped channel. The trigger is "anytime a task is marked as Done" and the action is "posts a message to the Slack channel #shipped".
