Have a list that you don't use anymore, but don't want to permanently delete? Archive it! Archiving a list lets you hide it from your workspace without deleting its content. Lists that have been archived do not count towards the list limit and you can easily restore them at any time!

How to archive a list

From the list's ... menu, select "Archive list." Even though archiving a list is reversible, a confirmation modal will appear explaining that archived lists do not appear in any user's sidebar nor the workspace's "Browse all" list directory. Selecting Archive list will confirm the action by immediately archiving the list and updating the list's name to include "[archived]".

Archived lists are considered inactive (so they don't count towards list limits) and hidden from the workspace. You can still access an archived list in a read-only view, but you won't be able to add tasks or make any other updates to the list unless you restore it.

How to restore an archived list

Whether a list was archived one week ago or one year ago, archived lists can easily be restored by selecting "Restore list" from the ... menu. Once restored, "[archived]" will be removed from the list's name and it will be active again in the workspace, allowing users to add it back to their Favorites.
