Yes — logistics, shipping, and freight costs are already factored into most of the prices Helios reports on and forecasts.
Our pricing models are built to reflect the real market terms under which commodities are traded. That includes different pricing structures like:
FOB (Free on Board) – price at the port of departure (seller handles costs up to loading)
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – fully delivered price, including customs, taxes, and shipping
EXW (Ex Works) – price at the seller’s location (buyer covers all transport and handling)
We also account for whether a product is domestic or imported, and how far it is through the wholesale or distribution process, including whether it’s cleared customs or still in transit.
These distinctions aren’t just noted — they’re built directly into our forecasting models and data pipelines. That means when you ask Helios for a price trend or risk-adjusted forecast, you’re seeing numbers that already reflect the reality of international shipping costs, customs burdens, and regional logistics dynamics.
