Able Account Types

Learn about Able's different types of Accounts for Practitioners, Clients and Leaders.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Able is designed to help everyone involved in the design, delivery, management and experience of learning & development and leadership development programs collaborate and get sustainable behaviour change and organisational outcomes.

To achieve this Able has three different Account types:

  1. Practitioner Account: for L&D providers delivering programs.

  2. Client Account: for stakeholders at Organisations running L&D programs.

  3. Leader Account: for individuals participating in L&D programs.

A person may have 1, 2 or all 3 account types, and can switch between them.

Practitioner Accounts

Practitioner Accounts are for people and teams delivering learning & development (L&D) and leadership development programs and services. This includes people and teams providing all the various functions involved in designing, delivering and managing programs of any size, including roles such as:

  • Learning Experience Delivery Roles: such as executive coaches, leadership coaches, facilitators, trainers, instructors and consultants.

  • Design & Sales Roles: such as program design, sales and commercial roles that scope, design and cost quotes, proposals, projects and programs.

  • Project Management Roles: such as project managers, program coordinators, project leads and instructional or content designers.

The Practitioner account type gives users the ability to:

  • Create quotes

  • Create programs and setup learning

  • Create micro-learning

  • Create surveys

  • Set up Organisations and Learners

  • Set up Project Teams and roles.

  • Invite other Practitioners, Clients and Leaders to Able.

  • Allocate Learner Plans to program participants.

Depending on the context, in different parts of Able, the Practitioner Account type may have a role title such as:

  • Practitioner

  • Provider

  • Coach, Facilitator, Trainer etc.

  • Client Owner, Deal Owner, Project Lead etc

Internal L&D Teams

While the Practitioner account type is typically used by L&D providers to deliver services for several different client organisations and their respective staff, it can be used by internal L&D or HR teams to manage their own projects just for their own organisation and staff. In this case the quoting and costing features are generally not required, and the Organisation list which is designed to display multiple organisations will look a little sparse.

Leader Accounts

Leaders Accounts are for people participating in learning & development and leadership development programs - often called Learners or Participants. This includes leaders, managers and staff at all levels including:

  • executives

  • senior leaders

  • mid-level leaders

  • frontline and team leads

  • while Able is particularly focussed on leaders it is also suitable for individual contributors without leadership and management responsibilities.

The Leader account type gives users the ability to access the following features, depending on the Plan level:

  • Participate in L&D and leadership development programs.

  • Participate in online and in-person workshops and sessions.

  • AI-generated Coaching

  • AI-generated Nudges

  • Development Plans.

  • Complete post-program & post-session participant evaluations.

  • Complete and view 180º or 360º profiles for themself or as a Rater.

  • Complete organisation surveys.

Depending on the context, in different parts of Able, the Leader Account type may be called a:

  • Leader

  • Learner

  • Participant

  • Coachee

  • Survey Respondent

  • Survey Rater

Client Accounts

Client Accounts are for people managing learning & development programs for their own Organisation. This includes people in coordination, management or executive roles within internal functions such as:

  • Learning & development

  • Leadership development

  • Human resources

  • Organisation development

  • Organisation change

  • People and culture

The Client account type gives users the ability to access most features in a view only format so that they can monitor the progress of programs, participants and surveys within their organisation. Client accounts have the following features:

  • View projects and programs

  • View workshops and sessions

  • View quotes

  • View micro-learning
