Set up multi-factor authentication

Even if someone gains access to your password, multi-factor authentication ensures you're the only person who can access your account in Franklin. Typically, when you enter your account name and password for the first time on a new device, that device asks for the verification code displayed automatically on your trusted devices.

Keep your Franklin account password private.

  • Never share your password or verification codes with anyone.

  • Don't use your Franklin account password with other online accounts.

  • Do not share your Franklin account login with anyone.

Additional best practices for maximizing the security of your Franklin account

  • Keep your computer software up to date. Software updates usually include bug fixes and critical security updates.

  • When accessing your Franklin account page in a web browser, look for the lock icon in the address bar to verify that your session is encrypted and secure.

  • When using a public or shared computer, always sign out when your session is complete to prevent other people from accessing your account.

  • Avoid phishing scams. Don’t click links in suspicious emails or text messages, and never provide personal information on any website you aren’t sure is legitimate. Franklin will NEVER ask for your login information or private keys

Here are some tips to help you avoid scams and learn what to do if you receive suspicious emails, phone calls, or other messages. Scammers use any means they can to trick you into sharing information or giving them money, including:

  • Fraudulent emails and other messages that look like they're from legitimate companies, including Franklin.

  • Misleading pop-ups and ads that say your device has a security problem.

  • Scam phone calls or voicemails that impersonate Franklin Support.

  • Fake promotions that offer free products and prizes.

  • Unwanted Calendar invitations or file sharing.

⚠️ If you're suspicious about an unexpected message, call, or request for personal information or money, it's safer to presume it's a scam and contact Franklin directly at support@hellofranklin.co.

Best practices to keep your wallet safe

The best way to protect your wallet is never to lose or give anyone your private key or wallet seed phrase. No one at Franklin will ever ask you for your private keys. NEVER GIVE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS TO ANYONE.
