Franklin’s integration with QuickBooks Online creates and syncs journal entries into your QuickBooks general ledger.

QuickBooks accounts can be linked by an administrator.

To sync your Franklin account to QuickBooks:

  1. Go to the Reports page

  2. Click the Connect to QuickBooks button

  3. Enter your QuickBooks credentials, then click Sign In

  4. Click Connect to give Franklin access to use your QuickBooks Online data. The connection is established, and you’re redirected to Franklin.

  5. Map your Franklin account types to the QuickBooks chart of accounts. NOTE: You may want to consider adding an asset account for the Treasury account in your Quickbooks instance.

  6. Click Save

  7. Click Back to Reports to return to Franklin’s Reports page

Edit QuickBooks account mapping:

  1. Connect to QuickBooks

  2. Click Manage QuickBooks

  3. At the bottom of the list of accounts, click Edit Account Mapping

  4. Make the desired changes

  5. Click save

  6. To exit, click Back to Reports

Syncing payroll runs:

  1. Navigate to the Payroll Overview Page

  2. Click the Sync button on the right to the processed payroll run

Alternatively, you can sync your payroll data via the Reports page.

You can also autosync all future payrolls by choosing such an option when editing account mapping.

Disconnecting from QuickBooks:

To disconnect from your QuickBooks account, navigate to the Reports page and click on the Disconnect from QuickBooks button on the top right of the page.
