Where do I find available jobs?
You find available jobs in the Landing Host App, on the Available Jobs tab. Turn on push notifications for the app, so you get an alert each time Landing posts a new job in your area. For a tour of the app, see Navigating the Host App.
I got a notification but the job is not in my app. What happened?
Another Host claimed the job before you did. Jobs are claimed first come, first served, and popular jobs go quickly. Keep notifications on and check the Available Jobs tab often.
How do I claim a job?
Open the Available Jobs tab, tap a job to preview the home and its tasks, check the property, payout, date, and start time, then tap Claim Job. Only claim jobs you are sure you can work. See Navigating the Host App.
How will I know what to do on a job?
When you tap Start on a job in the Host App, a task list appears. Work through each task in order and upload photos where a task asks for them. Read the access instructions first, since you cannot do anything else until you are inside.
When and how do I get paid?
Landing pays every Host weekly through Stripe, every Thursday. Each payout covers a pay week from Sunday to Saturday at 12pm CST. Before your first payout, set up your Stripe payment account in the Host App. See Landing Host Pay and Set Up Your Stripe Payment Account in the Host App.
What do I wear?
Wear your Landing T-shirt if you have one, or a non white solid coloured shirt, with closed toe shoes on every job. What else you wear depends on whether you will meet a member. See What to Wear on a Host Job.
Are cleaning supplies provided?
No. You buy and bring your own cleaning supplies to every job. The large equipment, such as the vacuum, is already in every Landing home. Landing also recommends wearing gloves while you clean, to protect you from cleaning products and illness. See Building Your Host Cleaning Kit for the full list.
What do I do if I have a question during a job?
Tap the chat bubble in the Host App to message Landing. It is on every screen, including inside a job. See Finding Help in the App.
Can I bring someone with me to a job?
No. Complete every job on your own. Landing works with Hosts as independent contractors, so do not bring children, a partner, friends, or subcontractors, and do not bring animals. See Landing Host Standards.
Does Landing pay for mileage or parking?
No. As an independent contractor, you cover your own mileage and parking. Finding and paying for parking is your responsibility. See Landing Host Standards.
What if I can no longer work a job I claimed?
Release it in the Host App as early as you can, so another Host can pick it up. Release a critical job at least 24 hours before the start time, and any other job at least 3 hours before. Inside that window the app will not let you release it, so let Landing know instead. Releasing late adds a strike. See Landing Host Standards.
What is the PEX Card for?
The PEX Card is the card Landing gives you for purchases a job needs, such as missing items for a home. Use it only when Landing directs you to. See What is a PEX Card?.
