Deep cleaning the Keurig K-Mini Coffee maker should be done at each turnover clean. You will need a mug, a nonabrasive cloth, dish soap and access to a sink to deep clean the coffee maker.

Wipe down the exterior

Use a damp, soapy, nonabrasive cloth to wipe down the exterior. Don't immerse the brewer in water or other liquids.

Clean the drip tray

Slide the drip tray towards you while keeping it level to avoid spilling accidental overflow. Clean the drip tray and drip tray plate with a damp, soapy, nonabrasive cloth.

Clean the water reservoir

Remove the water reservoir and clean it with a damp, soapy, nonabrasive cloth and rinse thoroughly. Keep the lip open to allow the reservoir to dry completely.

Run a cleansing brew

Place a mug on the drip tray and run a 12oz water-only brew. Do not use a k-cup when running a cleansing brew.

Descaling a Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker is an easy task and needs to be done every 3-6 months. To descale the coffee maker, you will need 24oz of pure white vinegar, a large mug, access to a sink, and these three easy steps!

Step 1 - Cleansing Rinse

Pour the vinegar into the water reservoir. Place the mug on the drip tray and lift and lower the handle but do not insert a k-cup. Press the brew button. Once the vinegar is dispensed, discard the hot contents into the sink.

Step 2 - Internal Tank Soak

Repeat step 1, but this time when the brew indicator light turns solid, power off the brewer as it starts to dispense. Let the brewer stand for at least 4 hours. Press and hold the brew button until the solution begins to dispense and continue to hold the button until all of the vinegar has been dispensed. Discard the solution in the sink.

Step 3 - Fresh Water Rinse

Pour 12oz fresh water into the water reservoir and press the brew button. Repeat this step at least four times, or until there is no taste of vinegar, to ensure a thorough rinse.
