Finding Help in the App

Use this article to get an answer to a question while you are preparing for or working a job, without waiting for someone to reply.

Who this is for: Hosts and Cleaning Companies using the Landing Host App.

Open the help panel

Tap the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of your app screen. It is on every screen, including inside a job.

From there you have two routes to an answer, plus the option to message Landing directly.

Ask a question

Type your question the way you would say it out loud. You do not need to guess at keywords or article titles.

"What goes in the welcome kit?" or "how much am I paid if a job is canceled?" both work.

Or search for an article

Tap Search for help and type a word or two from your question. A short list of matching articles comes back.

Pick the one that fits and open it. If nothing looks right, try a different word rather than scrolling further.

Five Landing Host App screens showing how to find a help article. Screen one, the Claimed Jobs page with the chat bubble in the bottom right corner. Screen two, the help panel with a Search for help field and a list of suggested articles. Screen three, a search for the word inventory returning three matching articles. Screen four, the Houseware Inventory and Room Location article open and being read. Screen five, the foot of that article showing a downloadable checklist attachment and a row of three rating faces.

Some articles have attachments

Scroll to the bottom of an article. Several have a file attached that is worth downloading, usually a printable checklist you can take round a home with you.

Articles with attachments include the houseware inventory checklist, the welcome kit shopping list, the cleaning standards checklist, and the cleaning supplies reference sheet.

These change as items and prices are updated, so download a fresh copy from the article each time rather than reusing one you saved or printed on an earlier job.

Rate the article before you close it

At the bottom of every article there are three faces. Tap the one that matches whether the article answered your question.

This is the main way Landing finds out which articles are not working. If an article was confusing, out of date, or missing the thing you needed, a sad face tells us to look at it. It takes a second and it is the fastest way to get bad content fixed.

If you still cannot find an answer

Tap Send us a message in the help panel and ask Landing directly.

Do this rather than guessing, especially on anything to do with access, pay, or a member.
