Connecting the TV to WiFi

Use this article to connect a TCL Roku TV to the wifi in a Landing home, and to know what to try when it will not connect.

Who this is for: Hosts and Cleaning Companies working in a Landing home.

The wifi credentials

Most Landing homes use the same wifi credentials.

  • Network: Landing

  • Password: smoothlanding

Try those first. If they do not work, see the section below on what to do when you cannot connect.

How to connect a TCL Roku TV to the wifi

  1. Press HOME on the remote.

  2. Scroll down and select Settings.

  3. Select Network, then Wireless.

  4. Wait while the TV scans for available networks, then select Landing from the list.

  5. Enter the password smoothlanding and select Connect.

  6. The TV confirms once it is connected. If it does not connect, see the next section.

If the TV will not connect to the wifi

Work through these in order.

  1. Try the standard credentials first. Network Landing, password smoothlanding.

  2. If those do not work, try the credentials on the router. Many routers have the default network name and password printed on a label on the underside or the back of the unit.

  3. If you still cannot connect, start a chat with Landing. Tell them which home you are in and what you have already tried, and Landing will get you the right password.

If the Landing network does not appear in the list of networks at all, tell Landing that as well, since it may mean there is a problem with the router rather than the TV.

Logging out of apps

Only do this in a vacant home. If a member is staying in the home, leave their accounts alone.

In a vacant home, sign out of every streaming and app account on the TV before you finish the job. That way the next member arrives to a clean TV rather than someone else's Netflix, Hulu, or Disney Plus account still signed in.

How to connect a Samsung TV to the wifi

Use these steps if the home has a Samsung TV rather than a TCL Roku.

Setting up a Samsung TV for the first time

  1. Select your language, then choose to set up using the remote, and select Next.

  2. Select the Landing network and enter the password smoothlanding.

  3. Agree to the terms, then skip the account sign in.

  4. Enter the zip code for the home and select Done.

Connecting a Samsung TV to a different network

  2. Select General, then Network, then Open Network Settings.

  3. Select the Landing network and enter the password.
